L-cystine is a natural amino acid found in the tender horns of a young stag. It contains the stem –SH; so it acts to destroy free radicals which play a main role in skin degeneration diseases and aging.

L-cystine is well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract; peak plasma concentration occurs from 1 to 6 hours after oral administration. It is chiefly distributed in the liver and metabolized through the liver such as taurine and pyruvic acid, and primarily eliminated in the bile.

L-cystine helps to increase skin metabolism, bring melanin out the external skin layer and eliminate along with horn layer, and quickly reproduce a new skin layer. L-cystine also regulates the excretion of mucous substance. This is a reason for having spots on the skin, allergy to environmental effects and daily activities.
