On 9 January 2020, Vietnam Report held a ceremony to announce and honor the "Top 10 prestigious pharmaceutical companies in 2019" at InterContinental Hanoi Landmark Hotel 72 (Hanoi). The event attracted nearly 400 guests from enterprise representatives, health experts and leaders of departments and agencies.
At the ceremony, DHG Pharmaceutical Joint-Stock Company (DHG Pharma) was the first enterprise named in the "Top 10 prestigious pharmaceutical companies in 2019". DHG Pharma leads the pharmaceutical industry with total high scores of 3 criteria including financial capacity, media reputation, survey on experts and enterprises.
The annual organization prize is a scale of internal strength of each pharmaceutical company. Financial capacity shown in the latest financial statements; media reputation which is assessed by media coding method on the company's articles on influential media channels; survey on drugstore pharmacists, health experts, and enterprises conducted in November 2019 on capital, market, labor, revenue growth rate, profits, and business plan in 2020.
Vietnam Report also reported that there are 224 GMP-conforming pharmaceutical factories. DHG Pharma owned two lines of PIC/s GMP and Japan GMP which contribute to internationalization of Vietnamese medicine quality and help the enterprise win a trust of domestic consumers and broadly export to the world. The market has 57,000 pharmacies; the company's distribution network accounts for 50%, not to mention export markets spanning 14 countries.
The announcement ceremony of Top 10 reputable pharmaceutical companies happened only after a few days when DHG Pharma has appeared in the list of "100 largest public companies". The award was first announced by Forbes Vietnam based on 4 criteria including revenue, profit, total assets and market capitalization under Forbes’s global 2000 ranking method (2,000 global biggest companies). Additionally, the annual awards that DHG Pharma has been continuously voted by Forbes Vietnam included "Top 50 Best Listed Companies" for six consecutive years, "Top 50 Leading Brands" for four consecutive years. At the end of November 2019, DHG Pharma was also the only enterprise to receive the "trio" of awards in Vietnam Listed Company Awards 2019 with better achievements than previous years, including Corporate Governance Award with large capitalization, Top 5 best sustainability reports, Top 10 LargeCap with best annual reports.
Sharing on continuous harvesting of ‘sweet fruit’ in 2019, Mr. Doan Dinh Duy Khuong - COO of DHG Pharma said that the year 2019 witnessed the effort of comprehensive innovation on all angles of the enterprise. This is also the year the company marked with the largest M&A deal in the pharmaceutical industry, putting into operation a series of medicine production lines of PIC/s GMP and Japan GMP with "million dollars".
