Forbes publishes a list of "Top 100 largest public companies"

On 30 December 2019, Forbes Vietnam officially announced the list of "100 largest public companies". This is the first time Forbes Vietnam has made this listing in Vietnam.

DHG Pharma is honored to be on the list of "100 largest public companies" which are evaluated by Forbes Vietnam based on four criteria including revenue, profit, total assets and market capitalization under the Forbes’s global 2000 ranking method (2,000 largest global companies).

Continually maintained and ranked in the Top in Forbes’s voting categories such as Top 50 Best Listed Companies for six consecutive years; Top 50 leading brands for four consecutive years (formerly Top 40 most valuable company brands), showing that DHG Pharma is steadily overcome all challenges to continuously create new values, sustainable growth and sustainably maintain the leading position in Vietnam pharmaceutical enterprises.

Being different from the list of "Vietnam 50 best listed enterprises" (for public companies listed on HSX and HNX) announced in June annually, emphasizing efficiency and growth, the list of "100 largest public companies" was extended to enterprises traded on UPCoM and unlisted public companies.

The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange has 65 representatives, UPCoM has 23 representatives, the Hanoi Stock Exchange has 7 enterprises, the rest are unlisted public enterprises, Forbes Vietnam announced.

Regarding the evaluating method, Forbes Vietnam applied Forbes’s Global 2000 ranking method. The first step is to gather a list of public companies including joint stock companies with more than 100 unlisted shareholders and listed companies on HSX, HNX and UPCoM. Next, Forbes Vietnam collects financial data on total revenue, profits, total assets and capitalization reported in the latest annual audited financial statements in 2018.

Market capitalization of listed enterprises was taken on the transaction day of 13 December 2019. For unlisted enterprises, market capitalization was determined by multiplying number of shares with average P/E of the listed companies in the same industry. Forbes Vietnam scored the enterprises based on four financial criteria. The final total score determines the ranking position of the companies in the list. The ranking was supported by Ban Viet Securities Company.
