From October 07-09, 2022, DHG's Glumeform XR brand accompanied the Vietnam Cardiology Association to organize The 18th National Heart Congress with topic "30 years of Vietnamese Cardiology: Formation - Integration - Development" at Ha Long City. More than 1000 medical professionals who is doctors and pharmacists form hopitals attended the conference, together with 10,000 reaches of digital platforms.
Attendees who took part in the congress got several reports from top local and international experts, in addition to being informed on a variety of new topics with significant information.
At the conference, DHG's CEO, Mr. Doan Dinh Duy Khuong, shared: "DHG will concentrate on developing quality Cardiovascular - Diabetes products, such as Glumeform XR by production lines are up to level with international standards due to modern preparation technology.

The Glumeform XR is specifically manufactured at DHG Pharma on a line that meets with Japan-GMP standards. This is the standard symbolizing Japanese quality, directly certified by the Japan Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA). This standard of drug manufacturing sets up technical barriers in terms of raw material standards, aseptic preservation of finished products, strict quality system management, ensuring that the drug must be of the highest quality when it reaches the consumer.
As we all know, everybody is busy with job, family, and other responsibilities in modern life. They must keep putting up strong effort. As a result, stress levels increase, and people have adopted irrational eating habits that are harmful to their health. The number of diabetic patients in Vietnam is rising quickly, according to data from the World Diabetes Association (IDF). Diabetes patients made up 5.5 % of the population in 2017, and 7.4 % of people in the population were pre-diabetic. According to this statistic, there is 1 in 7.5 persons has diabetes or pre-diabetes. The number of people with diabetes is predicted to increase to 7.7 % of the population by 2045.
For patients with diabetes, prolonged high sugar in blood will damage blood vessels and nerves. The longer the glycemic index is controlled, the higher the risk of vascular and neurological complications, especially some catastrophic disorders that can emerge from these complications, like heart attack and stroke. As a result, one of the key methods for avoiding that complications and serious illnesses is to maintain good control of diabetes from the beginning.
DHG understands that there is still much to be do to reduce the increasing problem of this disease, in accordance with its mandate to protect the public's health. Glumeform XR is a product line used to treat type 2 diabetes, especially since 2020, Glumeform XR with the active ingredient Meformin has been recommended as the first drug in the treatment of pre-diabetes according to the recommendations of the Ministry of Health on "Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of pre-diabetes". The product contributes to providing an important solution to the diabetes treatment process of doctors and nurses.
