  • PHARMACODYNAMIC

    Fusidic acid is a topically antibacterial agent used for skin, has steroid structure, and belongs to fusinadines family. Fusidic acid is derived from Fusidium coccineum, Mucor ramannianus and Isaria kogana. Fusidic acid inhibits Gram-negative bacterial protein synthesis: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus, Corynebacterium minutissimum and other fusidic acid-sensitive microorganisms causing skin infections.

  • PHARMACOKINETICS

    Fusidic acid has both hydrophilic and lipophil properties; so it penetrates well into skin, to the deep layers of skin and presents in all dermal and subdermal tissue layers.
    MedSkin FUSI is suitable for cases of superficial and deep infected skin. Besides, MedSkin FUSI is prepared in the form of cream which does not dirty and leave the drug on the skin.

  • Driving and operating machinery

    The drug does not affect the ability to drive and use machinery.

  • PREGNANT AND LACTATING WOMEN

    The drug should be used with caution in pregnant women and nursing mothers.

  • DRUG INTERACTIONS

    MedSkin FUSI and other dermal drugs should not be used concomitantly on the same affected area of skin.

  • UNWANTED EFFECTS

    Rashes and burned feelings rarely occur.
    Inform your physician about any adverse effects occur during the treatment.

    Avoid contact of MedSkin FUSI with the eye.

  • Indication

    Treatment of skin infections in cases of impetigo, folliculitis, sycosis barbae, superficial wounds, traumatic and surgical wounds, burns, furuncles, carbuncles, acne, hidradenitis, varicose ulcers, paronychia.

  • Contraindicated

    Hypersensitivity to any components of the drug.

  • DOSAGE AND HOW TO USE

    Apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily, generally for a period of 7 days.
    In the treatment of acne where therapy should be extended for a longer period.
    Or as directed by the physician.
